A friend asked if I could help break the tranny in his beater '64 Pimpala. The 283 2barrel powerglide was weak to say the least. (almost as weak as 98 cobra s/c) Actually...I take that back...no one can be that weak. lol
It didn't have enuf power to burn those 775x14 nylon tires, so we poured some Falls City beer (the 50 cent per quart type) under the right rear to get things started. I did a brake-stand and she started smokin pretty good. I released the brake and floored it then shifted from low to reverse then back to drive, then neutral, drive, neutral, drive, neutral , drive then to park so I could hear the click click click.
It actually didn't break but it started slipping when it shifted from low to drive. I guess powerglides are tougher than I thought.
