    True story, as well.

It's an actual race I had back in '99 when I lived in Roseville. I was heading north on Snelling one evening on my way home from Porky's. At the light, this M5 guy was revving at me in the right lane. I put the window down & asked him if he was serious, and he said yes. I asked him if he knew what I was driving - and mentioned that it wasn't a Monte SS - he said he knew. I said ok - let's do it. He pulled me off the line, but I passed him in 100 feet or so. By the time we had to stop for the light @ Larpenteur, I had him by a number of lengths. I could hardly believe it when he wanted to go again. I was thinking that maybe he thought I jumped him. This time, I let him get across all 4 lanes of Larpenteur before I left. I caught him, slowed down to match him, honked & waved, then nailed it & left him again. I was running 20+ pounds of boost on 100 octane. In those days, my 0-60 times were in the 3.9-4.1 second range. At the next light, he flipped me off. I just smiled and waved...

    Damn, that was fun!
