I will go first

A few years ago Glenn and myself went to the rock and after a little showdown in the pits we decided to race went to the line then we both cut good lights and my firebird and his SS were neck and neck when we got to the end couldn't tell who won. I got my time slip and it said win in my lane
went back to the pits to shake Glenn's hand and he laughed and called me a bastard. Humm that went on for an hour but I got a kick out of it. Man that race was close sure glad it wasn't on the street as we would have gotten me

Close Race

This is one of my favorite frum rolls.
Three years ago I was racing GTO MIke in his Purple pride GTO I was driving my 1989 LS1 T/A. Mike and I have raced a million times and we were always close he'd win one I'd win one so when we decided to race again I thought ok no big deal.
We start from a 20 roll on three we hit it. Both got first gear then second gear we are side by side as usual then all of a sudden bam my car got really lound and took off! I put a car on him like nothing I was concerned I hurt the motor but I stayed in it he tried to reel me but I took the win. Turns out my exhaust was a bit restrictive and one of the clamps had gotten loose and the cat back had come apart. So with my uncorqued exhaust I took the win.

My closest race involves GTO Mike as well. We left a Ricekiller meet (read Gay) and Mike was talking mad shit about how his LS2 GTO would smoke my Ls1. We went from a 40 roll and when I went to shift, I kicked a hole in my firewall.:D I lost and Mike procided to talk a lot of shit about how his wife's GTO would smoke my 3rd gen. I got my day about a month later. Mikes wife Amber was driving the yellow GTO. We went from a 40 roll, and whipped her ass by at least 3 cars. This was with my 2.73 and a 6 speed. :p It was sweet.

I have had some good races with Fast Repo as well. I can't wait to line 'em with my new set up Brian!!!!!

Ha that's funny Ya mike thals a lot of crap with him and his wife's GTO'S. One time he told Glenn that you don't wan't to mess with the yellow car that it has a 200 shot on it.
Glenn was like "what" so the whole night all he did was want to race that car. Mike's wife
did not want to drive so at one of the local spots they both went out Mike with the yellow GTO with a 200 shot and Glenn's n/a 6speed camaro. They both spun but when they hooked the outcome of the race was lass than a car length and he got Glenn by a fender. Just goes to show what a good driver can do with less power.

I raced a freind of mine in the finals at Cedar falls a few years back, I dialed a 11.24, he dialed a 12.24. We both hit our dials on the nuts, but he cut a
.018 lite to my .034. Best race I ever had even though I lost!

There's a local Cuda that was always a really interesting race. Whoever got the holeshot (on the street) would win by that amount. This year will be interesting as well. He added a 100 shot last year and I've got a completely different car with a fresh motor

I'd say my closest race on the street was Ryan's notch from two years ago. Neck and neck the whole way.

The closest race I have had at the track had to be Kris R's Z06. He ET'd me and MPH'd me but we were door to door at the finish. It was awesome. I just remember him saying, now your not going to use the bottle correct? I said sure thing and turned it off for him. Ran an 11.89 to his 11.82. Pretty fun race.

Last fall ran a 350 zx from a dig. We were looking at each other the whole way. I let out cause with drum brakes I wanted to stop within a mile and of course he gave me the ricer win light. He never pulled on me.
