I live my life a quarter mile at a time. Nothing else matters: not the mortgage, not the store, not my team and all their bull5h!t. For those ten seconds or less, I'm free.

Practice the fine art of KISS.

Just cause your car runs a crappy number (orange) why should it be all disected up to make you look better. Wanna hang out with autocross guys then go do it.

Well when NHRA goes to 1/2 mile racing we can inc. them too:lol:
I have seen plenty of street cars with 10.5 tires run quick, My camaro is a licenced street car with 10.5 dot. tires with mufflers and have run as quick as 10.60s. I don't drive it on the street much as I have other cars I can drive.
Besides people don't like second gen camaros anyway.
Another car to look at was that 93Z/28 pace car the one guy had a few years ago it ran 6.30's in the 1/8 and he drove it on the street all the time and I even remeber he beat a couple of real fast street cars in town back then.

I ran 6.19 @119mph last year at grove creek when I was certifying, that was on 10.5 tires, I was still spinning but it did run quick times.
